Winslow’s design inspiration comes from a multitude of different sources, life experiences, and personal passions —history, vintage fashion, modern art, literature, and pop culture to name just a few — along with visual cues from her observations of everyday life. She points to Oscar Wilde, Walt Disney, and surrealist artists like Picasso, Dahli, and Kahlo as major influences in her work. “Free thinkers have always attracted me. Hats definitely offer that ability to project one’s individual expression,” she explains.
